The Greater Richmond, VA partnership as begun producing a series of five videos that highlight why thousands of people visit and call Richmond home. They really hit the nail on the head with this first video. It includes some well named RVA alum such as Carbon Leaf (and not validated but what appears to be Jason Mraz) and some well known landmarks (Such as The National, Byrd and Maymont Parks).

This video seems to be well thought out and covers pretty much every reason I love RVA… I can’t wait to see the next four.

It’s official. Timeline is officially available for your Facebook profile. It’s a MAJOR change from the previous style pages. Currently, It is optional (Get it here) but on December 22nd it will be pushed to every page on the Facebook community. All I have to say is… GET PREPARED!

I was excited for this update but now that I’ve had the change to get my hands on it I think I’m going to have to let it grow on me. When you first install Timeline it automatically converts (and brings back) all of your posts to as far back as you’ve had an account on Facebook. It feels a little awkward at first. There are status updates and wall posts I bet you’ve completely forgotten about now accessible a lot easier on your profile. You will also be able to reorganize your profile soon (if not already), allowing you to change the dates the photos were taken (For Example: If a picture was taken before your profile creation date like May 4, 1980 you can set it for that date and it will appear on your profile like you were tagged in that photo on that date (profiles can go all the way to birth)).

Do you have Timeline yet? What are your first impressions? Let me know in the comments!

Once I have the opportunity to experience Timeline a little more I will post a follow up. I just wanted to get something out there on the soft launch date.
